Year 5 Master Pulley Systems in Design & Technology
In their Design & Technology lessons, Year 5 have been learning the mechanics of creating pulley systems. Using materials such as cardboard, plastic bottles, and string, the children designed and built functioning pulley models. They plan to incorporate these systems into moving playground models in the coming weeks. Throughout the project, the children excelled in problem-solving and demonstrated a strong understanding of key terminology, including axle, wheel, rope, moveable, fixed, load, and effort. Well done, Year 5, for your fantastic creativity and engineering skills!
