On Monday, 9th December, Year 2 immersed themselves in history with a special day focused on The Great Fire of London. The children explored this historical event through a variety of engaging activities, including singing, dancing, art, and planning non-chronological reports about the fire.

The day’s highlight came when the children created their own London street on the playground using houses they had crafted earlier. To bring the history to life, one house was set alight, allowing the children to observe how the fire spread and understand the devastating impact of the Great Fire. It was a truly exciting and educational day that left a lasting impression on everyone involved.
